The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) is the leading United Nations agency dedicated to protecting the rights and well-being of children worldwide. In the forthcoming session, UNICEF is expected to discuss “Deliberation on Ensuring Access to Education and Food Security for Children in Crisis Zones.” This agenda requires examining the challenges faced by children affected by armed conflict, displacement, and humanitarian emergencies while evaluating measures to safeguard their fundamental rights. The background guide will analyze the barriers to education and nutrition in crisis settings, assess existing humanitarian responses, and examine strategies to strengthen access to essential services. It is anticipated that delegates will partake in debates that seek to improve access to education and food security for children in crisis zones.
