The United Nations General Assembly Sixth Committee (Legal) is the primary committee of the United Nations General Assembly that considers legal questions and promotes the progressive development and codification of international law. In the forthcoming session, the Sixth Committee is expected to discuss “Strengthening the Effectiveness of the United Nations: Addressing Structural Limitations and Advancing Institutional Reform through the UN80 Initiative.” This agenda requires examining the structural and legal challenges affecting the effectiveness of the United Nations and evaluating reforms proposed under the UN80 Initiative.
